The RGi-PowerCommander is a Triple Step Down Programmable Power Supply, also known as a DC-DC voltage converter. The Power Commander is programmable via an RS-232 port using a simple ASCII or a binary command set. Once you program the supplies you can "write" the current state to FLASH, the next time the system powers-up, it will automatically reload the saved state. To protect you from accidentally reprogramming the supplies, you can "lock" any of the supplies with your our own secret code. Use the RGi-PowerCommander to supply up to three different voltages. This allows you to use one battery to supply all your voltage needs. Program one supply to output 5Vdc to power your single board computer. Program the second to 9Vdc to power your camera and transmitter and you still have an extra supply for any other needs, for example supplying 6Vdc to the servos in your system.
